Flying Saucer
The flying saucer collection is inspired by the event that kicked off the flying saucer craze.
Kenneth Arnold departed the Chehalis, WA airport on 6/24/1947. While flying near Mt. Rainier he saw nine crescent shaped objects. He described them as moving like saucers skipping on water. Mr. Arnold's UFO report led to the press calling the objects flying saucers. For more info research the Summer of the Saucer - 1947.
